Hug & Punch Coffee Co. is a well-known Croatian specialty micro-roastery, educational center, and supplier of high-quality coffee based in Matulji. Behind the brand is a group of enthusiasts united by one clear idea – to create coffee that evokes the strongest emotions. The project was born out of a sincere passion for excellent coffee and the desire to develop awareness in Croatia about specialty, high-quality coffee – from plantation to cup. Every bean that passes through their roastery is carefully selected, with a clear origin and story, in order to provide an authentic and unforgettable experience in every cup.But Hug & Punch is not only a roastery. They are also a certified educational center where professional programs and workshops are held, including the Coffee Skills Program, covering all stages of coffee work – from basic to advanced professional techniques of preparation and tasting. Their goal is to transfer knowledge, raise standards, and build a community that understands and appreciates top-quality coffee. In cooperation with experts from Europe and around the world and the Specialty Coffee Association, they have opened one of the highest-quality barista education centers in this part of Europe. You can join workshops led by Domagoj Trusić, head of the educational center, and improve your skills – whether you are a barista, F&B manager, café owner, or simply a coffee enthusiast.Besides Matulji, their coffee can now be tasted throughout Croatia – in Zagreb, Rijeka, Opatija, Split, Poreč, and many other cities – through collaborations with selected cafés and restaurants that share their philosophy of quality.In short, Hug & Punch is not just a café or a roastery. It is a center for promoting specialty coffee culture and knowledge – a place where passion, education, and outstanding taste meet.
