The area of Matulji is largely covered by forests and forest land, which is why we created a network of cycling and hiking trails. A total of 150 km of trails and as many as 10 circular routes will provide a special experience for everyone, even the most demanding visitors—whether you choose a trail that runs entirely through the forest and enjoy the local flora and fauna, or ride along roads and discover interesting and picturesque places.The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Matulji is actively working on marking the trails in accordance with Kvarner Bike standards and on developing an increasing number of high-quality circular routes enriched with attractive stories, interesting facts, and the natural beauty that our region offers.
Beautiful views of the surrounding area of Matulji can be enjoyed from the viewpoints in Škrapna, Zvoneće, Rukavac, and Črnčići—perfect spots to take memorable photos for your personal collection.
MATULJICIOUS BIKE & TASTE
If you are not ready to explore on your own, we also offer organized Matuljicious / Matuljišs / Bike & Taste tours. The rides take place in June, July, August, and September, providing participants with a unique experience of discovering natural beauty, cultural heritage, and local specialties through interpretive tours in four languages—Croatian, English, Italian, and German.Participants have the opportunity to taste premium products from local producers such as OPG Ružić, Vinarija Kapić, Pčelarstvo Kos, OPG Klaudia Dokozić, Destilerija Suza, and Buretić Bregi.The tours have a recreational and educational character, adapted to different levels of physical fitness, and include rides through some of the most beautiful and hidden parts of the Municipality of Matulji. They allow participants to experience Matulji through the eyes of local residents, discovering its rich history and cultural heritage with the guidance of licensed tour guides.
