Matuljicious Bike&Taste

 

Matulji Tourist Board, under the patronage of the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Kvarner Tourist Board, and in cooperation with the Matulji-based company Partenca and its licensed cycling guides, is organizing the Matuljicious (/Matuljišs/) Bike & Taste programme throughout June, July, August and September. These guided e-bike tours are intended for tourists and their hosts and are available in five languages. The tours combine recreation and education and have been designed to introduce visitors staying in the Municipality of Matulji, as well as their hosts, to the area’s natural beauty, rich historical and cultural heritage, and the potential of Matulji as an attractive cycling destination. The programme also showcases products from local family farms, producers and hospitality establishments that promote indigenous ingredients, traditional recipes and authentic presentations of local gastronomy. Participants can look forward to a unique experience that combines outdoor activity with the discovery of genuine local flavours – a true gastronomic adventure on two wheels.

The guided Bike & Taste tours will take place every Wednesday, regardless of weather conditions, from 10 June to 16 September, between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The number of participants is limited to 12. Electric bicycles will be provided by the organizer for all participants who require them.
Registration is mandatory and must be submitted via e-mail to tzmatulji@tzmatulji.hr no later than Tuesday at 12:00 noon, together with a deposit payment of €30.

• Height of the participant
• Information on whether you own an e-bike and helmet or would like the organizer to provide them

 

Please note that the price of the Bike & Taste tour is the same for all participants, regardless of whether they use their own e-bike or a rental bike. Upon receipt of the registration, participants will receive a confirmation of participation, deposit payment details and all additional information related to the tour. The tours are conducted by licensed cycling guides and accompanied by technical support staff. Local hospitality establishments and producers from the Municipality of Matulji are actively involved in the project. At selected locations along the route, participants will be introduced to the highlights and points of interest of each area in five languages: Croatian, English, German, Dutch and Italian.
