Matulji Aqua Oasis

The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Matulji, with the support of the Fund for Tourism Underdeveloped Areas, the Croatian National Tourist Board, the Kvarner Tourist Board, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, and the Municipality of Matulji, has installed a system of public water taps called "Matulji Aqua Oasis” at several locations across the municipality.The taps have been designed in line with the vision of sustainability and an active lifestyle. Visitors – hikers, cyclists, passers-by, as well as pets – can drink from them and refill their bottles or water containers, ensuring proper hydration during outdoor activities.

 

 

The Matulji Aqua Oasis project, part of the Matuljicious/Matuljišs – the best of Matulji in one place initiative, aims to enhance the quality of the tourism offer and provide support to everyone exploring the natural beauty of the Municipality of Matulji. In addition to their practical function, the taps promote a healthy lifestyle, outdoor activities, and environmental protection. By providing access to drinking water at multiple locations, the need for single-use plastic bottles is reduced, thereby lowering the negative impact on nature.
